FLYSOUND presents… The MINI John Cooper Works Turbo Library!

We’ve taken our big bag of recording tools, rigged them to a very feisty little Mini, and then let rip on the racing track. The result is a profusion of audio brilliance that sits ready for any project incorporating the sound of driving with attitude.

The mics comprised Neumann U87s, Sennheiser MKH 416, The Amethyst, and Electro-Voice ND 868. The recording system was our Sound Devices 788T and Aaton Cantar X2. For the interior, we deployed a quadraphonic sound recording set up. Great things come in small packages, and we captured the mighty Mini tearing up the track in a high-spirited, frisky manner, with all her roaring, rumbling, skidding and zooming sounds, there in the versatile cut.
